FAQ’s

On a Farm account package how do I activate my ads ?

•    When you have finished building your ad, the system will say finish and return to dashboard. When you return to your dashboard, scroll to the horse and click “activate” under the ad. This will make your ad live on the site. You will have the option to preview and make changes before sending the ad live.

How do I mark a horse sold?

•    Access your dashboard through the login in feature, click my farms (if you have a farm account) or my horses. Scroll to the horse and click the “Mark as Sold” button. You may also delete the horse if you wish. Horses will automatically be deleted at the end of the ad time period.

How do I renew ads that have expired?

•    When you have logged into your dashboard, you will be notified that your ads are going to expire with in a certain number of days. Click the “Renew Ad” button to renew your ads.

Is there a charge to change my pictures or video?

•    There is never a charge to change your pictures or video on MyHorseForSale.com. We understand that horses change with the seasons and with training, update as often as necessary to provide the best pictures of your horse.

How do I upload my photos and videos? Do I have to use a special format? What is the Youtube size requirement?
•    To upload photos login to your account, select the horse for which you want to ad or replace photo’s. Click “Upload Photos” tab on the right hand side of the page. All pictures must be in JPEG format.

MyHorseForSale.com accepts the same YouTube video file formats. The video files below are all accepted by MyHorseForSale.com & YouTube. Some video formats work best and are most compatible with certain computers, software or devices.

How do I change the default picture?

•    The default picture will automatically be the first picture you load into the system. If you wish to change the default picture, simply click “Make Default” to the right of the pictures in the preview section of the ad.

I changed my pictures, but I still see the old one, why?
•    Occasionally you will load new pictures to your ad, when you preview the ad you will see the old pictures. Try refreshing your page, if this does not pull up the new pictures, simply close your internet browser and restart the computer.

How do I change my horse’s information?

•    You may change your ad information at anytime by logging onto your dashboard.  Click  on the “MyHorses” button then click “edit” under the thumb nail photo of your ad. You will be able to edit the text and photos of your horses.   You may not change the horses name, gender, color, foal date, or breed once they have been entered. This is done to protect buyer and seller from fraud. We understand errors happen, if you need breed or other changes made to the ad, please contact our office and we can assist you with the changes. Once an ad is purchased you can’t change the information to a different horse.

I have moved how do I change my contact information?
•    Login to your dashboard, and select  the “My Account” tab. This will allow you to update username and password, and all address, phone, email, and website information.

I have forgotten my Username and password. How do I retrieve them?
•    Currently we are building the automated system to help retrieve usernames and passwords. Until the system goes live, please email your request to info@MyHorseForSale.com. Please include first and last name, to assist us in looking up your account. We do NOT ask for social security or credit card information. Please do NOT send these items in email.

I need a receipt for placing the ad, how do I get one?
•    We strive to make selling your horse as simple as possible, we are currently adding an option to print your receipts to the website dashboard. Please email sales@MyHorseForSale.com for the receipt until this feature is live.

How can I become an affiliate or link to MyHorseForSale.com?
•    Email your link request to Sales@MyHorseForSale.com. Include type of website, services offered, and a link to your website. Affiliates will be accepted if they meet the requirements established by the MyHorseForSale.com team.
