Protein – Digestibility vs. Percentage
So your vet says your pet needs a low protein food. But is that really the right thing? What is most important to take into account when looking at protein levels?
Is it really better to have to eat 10 cups of a low protein, low digestibility food than to eat 6 cups of a better, higher protein but higher digestibility food? Which puts more strain on the kidneys? Which provides better nutrition?
