Three Rivers Performance Horses

Three Rivers Quarter Horses is located 25 miles southeast of Shreveport, Louisiana. The 20 acre facility, owned and operated by Chele McGauly Murrel, specializes in breeding, raising and training quality reining and cow horses. Since then it has been called home by numerous World Champion and Reserve World Champion quarter horses. Chele McGauly Murrell obtained a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and has been showing and training professionally since 1983. She was employed by Lloyd "Red" Benoit in Covington, Louisiana for 10 years before purchasing TRQH in 1992. Murrell is currently an approved judge for the American Quarter Horse Association, National Reining Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, National Reined Cow Horse Association and National Snaffle Bit Association. Judging for various associations has allowed Murrell to travel to numerous countries and judge top horses all over the world. She has judged the AQHA World Championship Show twice, the AQHYA Youth World Championship Show three times, the AQHA European Championships twice, the Australian Nationals, and the German Championships. Murrell's judging career has taken her to places including: Belgium, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, as well as much of Canada.
