Mountain Trails Ranch

We are a quiet family owned ranch located in Esparto, California. We raise gaited Curly horses, mainly curly and straight-haired Missouri Foxtrotters and the occasional Tennessee Walker. We also occasionally have Thoroughbreds for sale. We do not show but raise great trail and pleasure horses. We choose our horses from the older bloodlines and older show bloodlines. We breed for natural gait that is easy for the average horse person to ride. Our curly horses are from the best bloodlines available. We stand ZGC Tahoe, a buckskin tobiano curly Missouri Foxtrotter registered with MFTHBA, SSHBEA, and ICHO. We also stand ZGC Phoenix, a red curly Missouri Foxtrotter registered with MFTHBA and ICHO. Both of these curly stallions have superb gait. Phoenix has a very fast and smooth rack type of gait as well as a foxtrot. Tahoe has a correct flat walk and a head bobbing foxtrot. We also stand Sawdust's Shokenaw, a brilliant copper shiny palomino Missouri Foxtrotter stallion. He has a beautiful natural flat walk and foxtrot. His foals have his very strong hip, loin, and back and exhibit his natural gaits. He is so gentle and puts that into his foals. He is registered with MFTHBA. We plan on having at least 2 curly foals every year to sell.
