John Moorhouse Quarter Ranch

Moorhouse Ranch was established in the 1930's by the late J.C. "Togo"Moorhouse and his brother Frank. The ranch is located near Benjamin, Texas in King County. 

In 1941 Togo married Lucille Hunter of Munday, Texas. They raised four boys; Ed, John, Tom and Bob, who at one time were all partners in Moorhouse Ranch Cooperation.

John and Tom co-managed the ranch for many years until they decided to divide the day -to-day operations. Tom and his family still live in the original ranch house while John and his family live in Seymour, Texas. The ranch maintains both cow/calf and stocker operations and both John and Tom raise quality working American Quarter Horses.

Their reference sires include Paddys Irish Whiskey owned by Paddys Irish Whiskey Syndicate standing at 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Seven S Heatwave - 2005 AQHA Reserve World Champion Junior Heading Horse owned by John Moorhouse and Johnny Fergeson standing at J & J Cattle Co. - Big Lake,Texas and Seven S Shining Gold, winner of many AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse Championships, owned by Tom Moorhouse of Moorhouse Ranch in Benjamin Texas.
