Few-spot Appaloosa mare. 6 yrs old DOB 01/07/04. 15.1 hands. Double registered.

All white with black and chestnut rump spotting, plus as she sheds out from her winter coat she is picking up a few more body spots. She has mostly black skin with few pink spots and some mottling around her eye. You will not have to worry about her burning in the summer like some Appy's. A fly mask and she is good to go.

Ariel is a trail horse and does not enjoy the arena. She does fine in the arena, she was worked a lot in the past in the arena - it just bores her. Why subject a horse to something they don't enjoy? She enjoys the trails.

She's okay in a group in any position or goes out alone. She has been exposed to quite a lot. Dogs, cars, motorcycles, tractors etc.

Currently being ridden 3-5 times a week. This is NOT a horse that has been sitting around. This is not a green horse either. Has been on trail rides from 1-6 hrs. We do mostly flat trail work with some hill work and river bottom riding. She will go through water if she has to - the more rains we get the more puddles we get to take her through.

Trailers, bathes, clips, ties, is good for vet and farrier. She is not marish and gets along with most other horses. Not the Alpha but she will stick up for herself. Just had her feet done on 03/10/2010 and is barefoot, she does well with no shoes.

Intermediate rider on up, only due to her age. A confident advanced beginner would be fine with supervision. We've had our beginner 11 yr old riding her but she will test a beginner and we've found our daughter does not have enough confidence for this mare. We all have horses of our own or we would keep her for one of the other members of the family.

This is not a fire sale, so we are not in a hurry to get her sold.  We want to find her a fantastic home.

She is double registered. ApHC and ApSHA (Appaloosa Sport Horse Association) and will come with her papers. Look her registered name up - Pilots Plaudit - on allbreedpedigree.com

In some of the pictures she is on a slight slant as that is how the property slopes. She is not butt high.

Ariel has a sweet personality, she will always come to greet you.                                 Never have to chase her, even out in the pasture.

To good home only. I want to know what kind of home she would be going to, so please let me know about yourself when you email.

Serious inquiries only. No tire kickers. Please don't waste my time or yours.

    Vet checks welcome

Video can be seen on YouTube. Its a basic video, showing her being lunged (she doesn't need to be lunged to be ridden -we just tack up and go) tacked up and ridden and shows her with a barking dog.
